Even when you squint, it is a little hard to see European Commissioner Oettinger as a viable rep for a new economy, but he does give good contrast for sprightly urban hipsters.
As one of the cities vying for the eternal consolation prize of the new economy – Startup Capital of Europe – Berlin made a symbolic stand by hosting the first European Startup Summit ever.
With Factory Berlin, the city’s leading home of startups like Twitter and SoundCloud, as setting and backdrop, DREINULL facilitated a meeting of nimble minds hosted by the European Commission.
